What is the difference between a two piece toilet and a one piece toilet?

The difference is easily noticed. Two piece toilets have a separate tank and bowl. One piece toilets are designed with an integrated tank and bowl.

 

How much water does it take to flush a toilet?

Toilets prior to 1993 use between 3.5 gallons per flush (GPF) and up to 7 GPF. Since 1993 high-efficiency models have been mandated to use1.6 GPF.

 

What if I already have a low flow toilet (1.6 GPF)?

Smarter Flush Kits are designed to convert and upgrade the standard two piece tank with 1.6 GPF (Gallons Per Flush) or more. By using the “Smarter Flush” option, only one gallon of the water in the tank is used for the flush.

 

ls it easy to install Smarter Flush™ Kits?

The average homeowner, following the detailed illustrated instructions with common hand tools, can easily complete the installation of the Complete Kit in 30 minutes. Either of the Quick Connect Kits can be installed with no tools in 10 minutes or less. lf there is any apprehension about the level of skill required, use of a licensed plumber is recommended.

 

Does Smarter Flush™ Kits meet code requirements?

Most code requirements provide that approvals shall have been obtained from an accredited independent testing laboratory. Smarter Flush has met and or exceeded the standards set by leading independent testing laboratories and has been approved as follows:

 

What kind of savings can I expect?

Savings will be significant in older toilet models with a tank capacity in excess of 3.5 gallons. For the newer model tanks. 3.5 or 1.6 gallon tank capacity, savings will be more than substantial. The exact amount of the savings will depend on the way you adjust your Smarter Flush at installation. There are several variable adjustments available to assure savings optimization.

 

Does Smarter Flush™ work with pressure assisted or vacuum assisted toilets?

Smarter Flush is not compatible with these toilets.

 

Are Smarter Flush™ units individuality tested?

Stringent performance testing is performed at the factory on each and every Smarter Flush before it is approved to be packaged for sale. Each unit is water tested for accurate performance.

 

Are Smarter Flush™ Kits guaranteed?

Smarter Flush Kits are guaranteed for five years. ln addition, Smarter Flush may be returned for a refund at any time within 30 days from purchase if the consumer is not satisfied for any reason.

 

Do Smarter Flush™ units require maintenance?

No maintenance is required after installation. All Smarter Flush Kits have been quality tested for over 100,000 flushes. All component parts are made of materials resistant to decay, bleach, chlorine, disinfectant chemicals and corrosion.

 

Will Smarter Flush™ make my toilet noisy or loud?

Toilets will not make any more noise or be louder than before installing the Smarter Flush Kit. No hissing or jet sounds will be noticed.
